Flamboyan on the Bay Resort and Villas at Magens Point Cat Cafe' Program

In conjunction with the Humane Society

Flamboyan on the Bay at Magens Point has partnered up with the Humane Society which participates in the Cat Cafe program. This program is to help end the tragedy of overpopulation of stray and feral cats living in St. Thomas.

The goal of the Cat Cafe Program is to drastically reduce the number of animals, impounded and killed in Humane Society shelters over the next few years. This program works with resorts, restaurants, condominium associations, businesses and individuals to implement and teach long-term management of feral cat colonies.

TNR is the humane method of controlling the overpopulation of feral cats. The cats are identified by eartipping (removal of ½ inch of the left ear while the cat is anesthetized for spaying or neutering.) Eartipping is the universal symbol of and only proven way to permanently identify a feral cat whose been evaluated, vaccinated and sterilized. It ensures that the cats won’t undergo unnecessary repeat trapping and surgery. Cats that are cared for by Magens Point are treated very well and live at the resort.

Flamboyan on the Bay at Magens Point is just one of many resorts that is stepping up to the plate to help take on the responsibility of controlling the feral cat population in St. Thomas. Our staff feeds them daily and make sure that any new cats are delivered to the Humane Society so that they can be vaccinated, evaluated and sterilized as well.
